Choices Dify Differ Poem by Ricardo Louw

Often i wonder what good
being able to choose does us.
Since childhood we are taught
that we always have a choice
and i actually do believe it
It's just that sometimes we get
involved in the akward situations.
And our choices have been deleted
or better yet vanished.

Then we leave other people
to make our choices for us.
Then before we realize,
We depend on other people to make choices for us
Isn't part of human, being different.
Is'nt it being different, making your own choices.
Dont we have the right to say...
NO! We will not follow the actions of
other people.
NO! we will not do things people expect us to do.

Would'nt it be easier just
to do what you want, just to
say what you want.
If you do that then you'll
differ and you may not realize it
but you have begun to make
your own choices.
