Christmas Poem by Marilyn Lott

Christmas

Rating: 2.8

Don’t you just love the scene
Of an old-fashioned Christmas
Just like the ones
On the Christmas cards?
The smells, the sights, the sounds
Of a glowing and wonderous holiday
Fireplace glowing with stockings
Presents hiding in the least expected places!
Waiting to be plopped under the tree
And said to have been brought by Santa.
Garlands draped on the mantel and the tree
The crispy air is filled with laughter
As people scurry about
Filling the dreams of the children and adults as well
Santa so jolly and stout in the department stores
And street corners.
It’s a wonderful time of the year
As loved ones gather
To show our love for one another
With food and presents
And the anticipation of a
Brand New Year!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
