Clever Moon Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Clever Moon

Clever moon,
You are a woman.
Look at your face.
Your sallow guise.
Look at you,
The abysmal tapestry
You call the azure
Is your mirror for vanity.
Your auroras – they are your resilient locks.
The stars are the countless ambitions,
Infantile, assiduous daughter
Of the gargantuan physics and science.
You are the vapid bulb
Of the world
You are the conceited delicacy
Of the hemispheres.
Shrewd moon,
You are a woman.
And the trouble you bring
In the dubious stoppage of time
Heralds the everlasting, cinematic moan.
And your lady-like flair
Is a moon-like flare.
Clever moon,
You metamorphose into assorted forms
Of a nubile crescent.
To a erudite quarter, like a wry grin.
And a fulminating circumference.
You are gorged with temptation,
With sin,
With garish travails.
Clever woman,
You are the moon.
