Climate Change Is For Real Poem by Francis Duggan

Climate Change Is For Real

Nowadays the Wannon in flood one does so seldom see
When I was younger the old bloke said to me
The Wannon in Winter was often bank high
Climate change is for real he did say with a sigh
Many of the creeks that fed the Wannon have sadly gone dry
And more droughts and less rainfall as the Seasons go by
The water dams almost empty and bone dry every drain
This countryside needs more than one week of rain
For human polluting of the environment the price is huge to pay
Climate change is for real that does seem sad to say
The old local bloke of his landscape does know
He cannot remember the Wannon as low
As it trickles it's way through the brown countryside
But sad to say climate change is Worldwide.
