The cobbles are tiny stars in the river
Their delicate light spread on the ripple
A kid holding a small bamboo basket
Come to pick up the cobbles in sunset
Out of the water, bring them to her place
Hey, the cobbles are just some oval stones
What a delightful picture this poem paints in the mind! Vivid imagery, gentle and childlike joy are encapsulated in just three stanzas...Thank you for sharing, Cigeng. I enjoyed it, immensely!
