Color Jacaranda Poem by Luz EtchemendiGaray

Color Jacaranda

Tonight I will light the lamp
by the window,
disguise with kisses
the leaves of my dream tree
and its branches will again cover themselves
with violet blue,
the color of my desires,
the color Jacaranda.

I will be there awaiting
your return
I know that wherever you may be
images of nest will arrive,
sent by my hands
and you will retrace your steps
in the darkness.
