Come Grow With Me Poem by Lisa Pringle

Come Grow With Me

Rating: 5.0

Come be an infant with me yet again,
Let’s make our lives free from hurt and pain.
Our chubby limbs flailing wildly as we lie,
Giving random smiles to the big blue sky.

Grow with me into a child once more,
We know nothing about keeping score.
Take off your shoes, feel grass under your feet,
Let’s drink from that cup, so sweet, so sweet.

Share my youth with me one more time.
Let’s make love a feeling so sublime.
Take my hand and hold it tight,
Then stay with me till the new dawn light.

Let our yesterdays be lessons for our todays,
Lest life now become a blurry haze.
Feel the zest and hold the dream fast,
With you by by side life’s lure will last.
