Come join my journey on this bright day
Before the thunderstorms descend
A'whipping and a'tearing
Not heeding what they rend
The hours fly swiftly as the day wanes
Soon dusk will wipe out this fair lawn
Of tiny reeds and blossoms
Meant not to last till dawn
Come now while time still rests on our side
Before the moments melt away
Much like the tender lilies
When night holds sway.
