Communicating Poem by wild fire

Communicating

she smiled politely,
'How was your day? '
He sank to the couch,
'I feel like I'm wasting away.'

She poured him some wine
as he took off his shoes
He grabbed at his tie
and tugged the knot loose

'I have to go now, '
she says as she walks
He never really bothered
to really listen when she talked

If he would have
she'd have really said,
'Tell me to stay,
Take me to bed.'

She was only hired help,
he thought as he sipped his wine
She seemed so perfectly lonely,
why not invite her to dine?

'I'd like it if you stay, '
he threw out in the air
She smiled politely,
and ran a hand threw her hair

Perfectly lonely, perfect together
after dinner, it was early to bed
Candlelight and music couldn't have made it better
both talking, with no words being said
