Comparing To What Used To Be Poem by Juliana Galal

Comparing To What Used To Be

Can't we just return to how we used to be
I keep thinking but fail to find you or me
We are now so different can't you see
We used to be one, two voices one melody
But now our voices split, each playing his own symphony
Yours is a crazy rock song, mine is classic, no similarity
At first they sounded alike, but I think it was all fantasy
I think it was my imagination again, all imaginary
But imagination was so sweet, it's hard to accept this bitter reality
You hurt me, broke my heart, deserted me without mercy
Where did your love go, where's your sympathy

I was a fool to think it would last forever
I thought you cared, that you were the most faithful person ever
Do you even feel I am aching or have you never
Or you did notice and thought it to yourself, Whatever
How could you transform like this after sharing everything together
We were two friends like no other``````````````````````
We used to share our dreams, hopes and imagination with one another
We shared life, whether sweet or bitter
I used to cry on your shoulder, laugh and shiver
You weren't just a friend but a twin sister
But after every spring comes a winter
