Compliments Poem by Rebecca Stansfield

Compliments

Rating: 3.5

Is my heart intelligent enough,
Intelligent enough to cause you pain?
Is my heart willing to deny you
Deny you and break you once again?

I've never been unfaithful
Is that there a fault of mine?
But If I flutter my eyelashes like the rain..
Would you forgive me in time?

I know that I'm a problem,
I know that I'm a burden.
But I know the weight falls from you,
When I flirt with over men.

What is the silly difference?
From yesterday and today.
Why are you complimenting me
And copying what the other men seem to say?

Is my intelligence a part of me?
That I know I know you know-
What I am doing in love in hate,
Which captures you to never go.
