Compromise Is The Prize Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Compromise Is The Prize

Realizing compromising...
Doesn't mean one is left not to succeed.
To compromise,
Leaves a benefit for those to see...
What had been impossible is quickly reached.

Some have eyes on a prize,
Just to win.
With a getting of a praise,
From someone given.

Some have eyes on a prize,
Just to begin...
A strutting with their noses up.
With a holding of a golden cup.

Some have eyes on a prize,
Just to win.
With a getting of a praise,
From someone given.

Some have eyes on a prize,
Just to begin...
A strutting with their noses up.
With a holding of a golden cup.
But...
To realize it's compromise,
That delivers to the ones who are givers...
And always with benefits.

Compromise is the prize,
And there is no end that quits.

Some have eyes on a prize,
Just to begin...
A strutting with their noses up.
With a holding of a golden cup.
But...
Compromise is the prize,
And there is no end that quits.
To realize it's compromise,
Has it's benefits.
And...
Long lasting.
