Confessing Sins Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Confessing Sins

Theft is not ownership.
Nor is plagiarism originality.
Unique?
Unique is meeting someone,
Who is neither...
A liar, deceiver or a thief.
And will admit to have being,
All of that and more.
With a 'calling' to become,
A minister, teacher or priest.
To mention having 'visions',
While sitting in a prison cell.
Claiming to a cellmate,
Of having seen...
The smiling face of an 'Angel',
In mash potatoes.
And the carrots and peas,
Were holding hands.
Around the meatloaf.
A meatloaf confessing sins!
