Confession Of A Lover Poem by Shubham Rai

Confession Of A Lover

What should be said
if one wants to be heard?
'cause I seriously do not know
how to start…
For this heart has a song
and the song has a heart.
It yearns to be played
and it cries to be heard.
But,
not by anyone.
It reaches out to someone,
It reaches out to you.

As I stand in front
Of the ocean of love
That beckons upon me
with promises of a beautiful destination
I cut off my anchors
and set for the sail
Even though the clouds
of what might the tempest
hover over the horizon.
My mind is intelligent
but my mind is weak
It enjoys dreaming
But fears the slip
My heart is foolish
and my heart is brave
It dares to love
And also loves to dare!

So my beloved
Ask me not the odds
Inquire not the chances of success
For I did not reason out my way to love.
It just happened…
It just happened.
