The Waiting Poem by Shubham Rai

The Waiting

Suddenly you will wake up and see

that you have been sleeping for long.

And beside you, watching

I have been waiting for you,

Long.

I can not go, my dear

even though the sun is out strong.

Nor will I try to shake you awake

for I like to believe,

that the darkness following dusk,

is as good a guide,

as the rays of the morn.

So I let you be…

In you I believe.

That's why I have been holding on.

And in you shall you believe someday

And then it will be dawn.
