Yes, I am talking about the same man
Named as a singer, songwriter, Bob Dylan
Who can be described in many ways
He is a literary man, who sings poetry
In prose and in rhymes. He is not fazed
By the particular of things. We're happy
That Bob Dylan is awarded the literary Nobel Prize
He probably does not need the money
But more honey, in a bowl milk and cooked rice
Gives a monumental sweetness to appetite
We all love to listen to this genius singing
The human plight. The poor, at times, are right
Not to confuse him with Joan Baez or Neil Young
Even Bruce Springsteen or legendary Jimmy Hendrix
All and more have created 'new poetic expressions'
These days, it is acceptable to be different, to mix
To compose new forms of words and dictations
To come up with new unconventional ideas, to make
Mistakes, not to follow the proper orthographic jargons
Not to restrict speech. Our words and voices are big weapons
To create a better world, in harmony, for God's sake
Congratulations to our fellow songwriter, singer and Poet
The world of literature recognizes you as our new Prophet.
