Contented Poem by Soumyendu Halder

Contented

Rating: 0.5

Not even a single line on my face is trembling!
They’ve brought cold from the death
and have compelled my heart to sit idle.
I’ve stretched my hands, taking them up and down
but unable to become a bird!
I’ve told you - “dear, please don’t love me that much”
but you haven’t listened.
You’ve come here with a new world in your hand for me!
All those candles have started talking nonsense,
they’re so untidy; i’ve told the fire of the match stick –
‘incorrigible…why can’t you wait?
Keeping both the hands in jeans pockets one t-shirt is walking
i’m not here!
Do you think that i’m a person without love?
Well, think then.
