Continue To Grow Poem by David Morris

Continue To Grow

I've learned most
From the past
I've lost and then loved
I've yelled then thought
Spend money without care
And begged for someone's spare
And took spare without care
I've asked for trust
While breaking a promise
And asked promise
While breaking trust
I stole love while searching for lust
And asked for love while feeding lust
I've said sorry
When I didn't mean it
And ask for sorry
When it wasn't owed
Repaired many wounds
And made some that can't be sewed
I've judge a sinner
Sinned and have been judged
I've refuse forgiveness
Now forgiveness I crave
Left when asked to stay
But mad when others turned and walked away
I've made so many mistakes
But I didn't know
So now all the lessons questioned
I can't let go
And step up to the next lesson
And continue to grow...
