Contradiction Poem by Jacqui Broad

Contradiction

Rating: 5.0

I am laughing, laughing, laughing,
there's a smile on my face.
I want to embrace the world.
I want to sing on the highest note.
I want to laugh till my stomach hurts.
I want to jump off the highest cliff...

Life isn't all that we dream, but is all we have to contain hope. Everything has a reason, and for those who believe, they will receive double for their trouble. Hang on to your heart, don't allow anyone, including yourself, to steal it. The world is a better place with you in it. Wonderfully touching write. Thanks for sharing. Sincerely, Kara

I am also laughing, I am also smiling! I also like to jump up with joy only for reason as read this lovely lyric of yours. Words are not enough to express the feeling expressed here only many smiles can do I suppose! Ha! Ha! Ha! :) :) :) :) :)

Wow. Great little piece. There are many interpretations to be had of this one. I read this as a conflict of emotions. To be so happy that you want to die, to be so melancholy that you want to live. Great expression here.
