Conversing With God Poem by Edwina Reizer

Conversing With God

God, did you know
the way I'd turn out?
Wondering and wondering
with so much doubt?
I guess you knew
and you're smiling now.
looking to see
if I can figure out how
little old me
can make a difference.

God, did you know
what I'd go through
working my way
back to you?
Questioning, searching
all my days,
wondering if you're the sunshine
and its intense rays?
So here I sit
little old me
hopeful and letting in
uncertainty.

God, do you know
all about me?
All those prayers I send you
aren't about me.
They're all for others,
all the sufferers
that are my brothers.
Now I'm getting older
and before I go.
if you remember me
please let me know.
