At the old house upon the corner
Lived a callous, clammy coroner
he liked his late night treats
He only ate cold meats
and now his bellyached with mourners
your choice of topics is stunning, as is the coroner's choice of treats. to MyPoemList and to my May 2019 Showcase of PH poems, found in my list of PH 'poems' on my site. Thanks. if Valsa approves, so do i. i wonder if you wanted " Coroners" or " Coroner's" in title. ? i like good alliterations, but..." clammy" ? well, maybe. :) " bellyache" verb: " complain noisily or persistently" . Try mustard. bri :)
This is indeed a wonderful limerick.....! The image of the coroner preferring cold meat induces a kind of fierce horror in us! But the inherent black humor elevates it to the level of a great limerick! A sure 10 Kevin.
I've read the earlier comments and I agree. The humour may be black, but it gets my pat on your back.
You are clever enough to express amazing humor in this brilliantly and excellently penned poem. I agree with MJ Lemon. Thank you very much for sharing this.10

Kevin, this is a genius blend of dark humour and horror. I am immediately reminded of Sweeney Todd. And there's an old 60s film, a gem, about a coroner and his best friends, a couple of restaurateurs...A 10. Brilliant.
