Corroborated Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Corroborated

More boring to become ignored,
Is truth produced with honesty.
That supported evidence to validate,
Corroborated corruption done.
Discovered from the bowels,
Of gutters to reveal to everyone.
By the ones without further excuses.
To find updated ways to explain treason.

Yet...
The proof of it to admit exists,
Has not only been announced...
By whistleblowers denounced and pounced upon.
But also by the culprits accused.
Proclaiming themselves lawless thieves.
As fans of crimes await in line.
Hoping to get their 'Impeachment' signs,
Autographed.
After the paparazzi and news reporters,
Declare their 'first come, first to serve' status!

"What in the World,
Has happened to the minds of the people?
Have they lost them? "

-Well...yes.
And then again,
No.
It's really about perception.
You see...
We have been blessed.
Now we have those brave enough,
To represent 'Us' and our interests.-

"This is nuts.
It's crazy."

-Maybe.
But when it was kept pretended,
No one objected.
Now that it is openly expressed,
Without pretensions first to address.
People claim they are upset.
And yet...
Profess a seeking of honesty and truth.
Here it is.
To accept or reject it.-

"This...
Is abnormal."

-And that...
Is your battle,
With perception.-
