Courage Poem by C.S. Keskuela

There's a line in a movie
called Nights in Rodanthe
that goes like this
'sometimes you find a love that gives you courage
to be better than you are
not less'

for all of you waiting, wondering
is this the right one?
if you still are pondering

then stop and ask yourself,
do they make you feel like that?
or even, do you have the strength
to be just you, who you really are
then trust, and believe....
and say yes

but if you feel trodden upon, put down
remember yourself
and leave

sometimes, the courage this requires
is the only way to aspire
to greater depth in our minds and hearts
