Cricket And Harry Potter Poem by Swati Panda

Cricket And Harry Potter

Rating: 5.0

Playing against Pakistan,
Feels like being in Azkaban.

Sometimes, when the pressure is on us,
It looks like we've been attacked with the Cruciatus Curse.

After bowling first when it was our turn to bat,
We made sure we didn't have a traitor like Scabbers - The Rat.

When out-of-form Sehwag, while facing the ‘Doosra' got confused,
People thought, "Should the Time Turner be used? "

When Dravid too got out while playing on backfoot,
It was almost like looking at a dying Padfoot.

To come on to bat Dhoni left the dressing room,
And we heard Harry Potter mounting his broom.

Two balls were remaining with six runs to win,
And the crowd had started cheering, "Dhoni is our king! "

Dhoni - the risk taker,
We knew that he was a hitter and a boundary seeker.

He was batting in the middle,
We didn't worry for there was no Tom Riddle.

Dhoni hit a six and we achieved a tremendous win,
Thereby narrowly avoiding the Grim.

There were celebrations all over,
Just like in the Gryffindor Tower.

The match had come to an end, to a wonderful finish
And Harry Potter will still flourish.
