Cross Of Freedom Poem by Mcanthony Nwatu

Cross Of Freedom

The glorious cry of a baby boy
The birth of salvation for all.
The world of penury sin
He obeyed his father to cleanse.

Messiah who was rejected.
Apostolic kiss, he was betrayed
Thirty shekels, exchanged for his priceless body;
Battered, scrapped and speared body

Pilate could not but condemn,
The painful Calvary journey began.
Mocked and praised on the plane
Nailed on the cross amidst the mischief,
It is finished our sins flee.

O! By the disobedience of one man
Men scrub and lived in chain.
But by the obedience of one man
To men freedom is given.
