Crowned In Wisdom Poem by Emmanuel Odonkor

Crowned In Wisdom

In Ghana's land where dreams arise,
Where strength and wisdom intertwine,
A tale unfolds of women bold,
Whose leadership we deeply hold.

From ancient times, a heritage rich,
Queens and warriors, a powerful pitch,
Nana Yaa Asantewaa, fierce and true,
Led Ashanti warriors, her courage grew.

Oh, Yaa Asantewaa, a beacon bright,
A symbol of resilience, shining light,
You showed us all what women can be,
In leadership, strength, and bravery.

Ghana's daughters, fierce and bright,
With grace and passion, taking flight,
Through corridors of power they stride,
Breaking barriers, shattering pride.

Ama Ata Aidoo, the writer's voice,
Weaving tales, empowering choice,
With eloquence, she spreads her pen,
Championing women's rights, again and again.

In politics, we find the trailblazers,
Bold and fierce, relentless crusaders,
Hannah Tetteh, a diplomat so wise,
Leaving footprints, reaching for the skies.

And Akua Kuenyehia, legal luminary,
A judge of honor, fair and visionary,
Breaking glass ceilings, shattering norms,
Inspiring generations, weathering storms.

From academia to entrepreneurship,
Women rise, breaking every grip,
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Ghana's pride,
Leading the world with grace and stride.

And in our homes, their influence grows,
Mothers, sisters, daughters, they bestow,
Lessons of love, resilience, and grace,
Molding leaders, the future they embrace.

So let us celebrate Ghana's daughters,
In every field, in all their quarters,
For they have shown us the way,
That women's leadership shall forever stay.

In Ghana's land, let the world see,
The strength, the power, of women free,
For when they lead, the nation thrives,
A testament to their shining lives.
