Crusader In Black Poem by Paul Amrod

Crusader In Black

Erecting the exodus of irreproachable refugees
will be for the status quo an inexplicable parody.
Ironically collecting extremists the advocates contest
their choice of mercenaries they viciously embody.
Resolutely unwavering their approach to detest
the problematic they fantasize of impervious wealth
while laughing greedily like hyenas with their lobby.
Therefore the black crusader is empowered on his march
His desolate psyche is deathlike and his conscious is dark
He purges his guilt with holy water blessed by the pope
As he hypocritically forges ruins and ruthlessly darkens hope.
He held his dangling rosary while beseeching our Maria
Left by the admirable emerged in careless recklessness
Forgotten are all his horrors as he has been gifted with amnesia
Doing the bidding of the hierarchy that causes his dismay
He has abandoned himself in escape and thoughtlessness
Saying God’s mother is his bystander until the judgment day.
As his victims succumb to his waving of his malicious wand
the wandering pilgrims denounce their loss of peacefulness.
Pledging his incessant allegiance to his matriarch and Queen
His actions are despicable and catastrophic to say the least.
Ruling a band of renegades as their futility does correspond
Filling up their wicked dungeons with suspects unforeseen
Not depending on heaven’s manna the final flush has now been dealt
Sarcasm takes the upper hand as human rights can’t be upheld
Such a theater of disillusion and bold betrayal and costly lust
It has filled my heart with fear and my stomach with disgust.
I plead on Mount Sinai raising my voice to the Holy Spirit
Appealing to ethereal choirs to chant Alleluia and intervene
Saving naivety and childlike chastity to bear their witness
healing the calloused platitudes and supplicating to hear it
what the virtuous do claim asking the angels to supervene.
Remembering waging war is invariably life’s grayest hour
A failure in negotiations where all souls wait to reconvene
So our conquistador will disgracefully turn his unrighteous back
His armor is soon dilapidated and his surroundings will devour
the preciousness of modesty as we recite our humble elegiac
describing the wandering castaways who hope he’s overpowered.
Restoring their restful habitat as Allah appeases their plight
Delivering them with bounteousness giving placidity so serene
Nevertheless we stand disregarded for our insatiable appetite
for harmony unity and reconciliation. The priority of sacredness
has dissipated before our very eyes. The earthlings will soon transgress
to devilish rogues who nurture these infidels as they solemnly convene.
Curse and mock the false sincerity which fathers these thoughts of stress
recommending our dependency and destroying our brilliant oversight.
Conceiving our independence free from propaganda and media’s influence
we will resurrect our Pax Eterna with the assistance of a nonmaterial quest.

About the publishing project ''POETRY AGAINST TERROR'', I've read all the poems you've told me. Indeed, 'Crusader in Black' would be GOOD for the book, Paul, but unfortunately it's too long (maximum is 25 lines) . I'm sorry. Thank you
