Cry Of The Forgotten Poem by Tobbie WhiteBird Crowe

Cry Of The Forgotten

If you don’t remember…
Your life is only half full.
And it’s the unknown empty spaces
That forever haunt your dreams,
And make your days so lonely and incomplete.

If you don’t remember…
What they forced you to forget.
Somethings always missing
But you never know what it is,
And nothing will ever seem quite right.

If you don’t remember…
You still miss what isn’t there.
Even happy is full of sadness
And nothing you do is right,
Life’s forever twisted and you don’t know why.

If you don’t remember…
What they forced you to forget.
You don’t escape the sorrow
The pain remains inside you,
But you have forgotten why that is.

If you don’t remember…
The horror and the why.
Your heart will harden, turn to stone
The stone will crumble, turn to dust,
And there’s nothing left, not even love.

We must remember… or we die.
