Danah Poem by Taher Shemaly

Danah

Rating: 3.8

Deserts around me
Alone standing I
Northern winds came not to aid me
Alone no one on the side of my
Heart breaking, is all what is mine

Dropped a tear on the hot sands
Arose a rose of my heart
Nay living could it become
And so the winds took it apart
Help Lord with thy skillful word

Dare not I looking in heavens
And great is the sadness in the core
Not ashamed but just amazed
As my heart beats stopped afore
Hail to thee my Lord now and before

Dreams I got in custody of my chest
And daring not to say
Not in my tongue I kept thy love
And in my heart I'll sing a lay
Have peace on her my Lord, and that's all I can say
