Dance Poem by Lauren Aaa

Dance

What do you think when you hear the word?
Does it remind you of a person or a time of your life?
Maybe a place you've been or a thing you've seen.
It is different for everyone, but for I, it is a sport.

Hip hop is my preference,
But there are others, too.
From ballet to tap,
Jazz to acro,
There are many more in between.

Dance,
In my eyes,
Is a masterpiece sport,
One that I have spent a lifetime enjoying,
And I still have many more happy years to perform,
And watch others perform.

I shall dance 'till I get so old,
That I can hardly tap my foot.
