Dance With The Devil Poem by Temperance Joy

Dance With The Devil

Trust in your heart.
i did, but It was torn from my chest.
'you'll be fine' they say. 'you're strong' 'this is what's best'.
I hope and i pray that at last i'll be saved.
For once, only once this road should be paved.
Still, the gravel, it cuts the soles of my feet.
But you've got it easy, so calm and complete.
Nothing will change this who was i kidding?
The devil, that name should be fitting.
Nothing will stop you from this reign of terror.
i believed you were sorry, an emotional error.
you dont want forgiveness or even or even a kiss.
I think long and hard and come up with this.
Once again here i am searching for truth.
In this vicious circle, it lies in the proof.
I choose to ignore it, pretend its not there.
cause there's something magnetic in the bond that we share.
It never will stop or come to and end.
I type 'this is over' but never hit send.
The days keep on passing and the circle keeps spinning.
There's nothing like laughing while the devil keeps winning.
