Dancing With The Fire... Poem by Tracy Craighead

Dancing With The Fire...

Rating: 4.8

Irony rings In my ears like a siren
its meaning is only clear to me.
Signs are everywhere,
I Choose to ignore....
To turn away from the safety
Embracing danger, like a creaky old shelter.
Knowing I'm destined for a fall,
Hiding From a certain storm.
Running into the rain,
straight into the arms of disaster…
I just don't care anymore.
Wanting to feel good at any price.
The cost of happiness is much too high
Willing to sacrifice my very life...
The people and the things... keeping me
Sane

I trade for a moment of bliss and of ultimate pain

I like this poem. It brings out the danger of love.
