Darjeeling Poem by Shamik Kumar Bose

Darjeeling

Darjeeling

/* My 100th Poem in Poemhunter.com */

I dreamt of you while I had first heard your name
Darjeeling! Like a great joy sprints in full throttle,
you came to my Dream on that night and kissed my forehead
I woke up and saw the trees in my garden flowered in all colors
You left your fragrance inside them
Now all the flowers are gone
The trees are no more
I lost my home, my land
Yet I have one flower inside me
It pours the same sweet fragrance
It rains the same joy that sprints in full throttle
I no more wish you in another Dream
I lost so many dreams
I do not want to lose you this time.
