Dark Love Poem by Sandeep Mandal

Dark Love

Nipped in the bud
My love for you grew darker and darker
Until it's feared to darken
Even the brightest day of the autumn
When clouds immaculate hand in hand
Hands round the waist and over the shoulder
Holidaying on a pleasure ride
With little worry or any earthly care
Unbridled yet gracefully unhurried
Like soft melody lingering in the air
Tugging at my heartstring creating
A soulful music of sheer solitude
Transient but thousand years sewed.
The darkness feared fails to cloud
As I find hope in my deepest brood
Love is love but hatred far more intense
A deeper form of love at grievances' expense
In every hatred is planted the seed of love
An infinite hope compressed to tiny mass
Be it the black demon at the centre of stars
Or implanted in the womb the zygote of ours.
It's from the darkest clouds a streak emerges
So does the sun non existent silently barges
Even the gloomy clouds cradling the smiling moon
Glow like a halo as if to be beatified very soon.
Does light mean anything without darkness?
What's but good without evil?
Two sides of a coin, a just and fair deal.
Love is love but hatred far more intense
A deeper form of love at grievances' expense.
