Dark Shadows. Poem by Graham Jones

Dark Shadows.

Rating: 5.0

Picture the darkness
A wrap around shroud
Cocooned in the gloom
Of a silence thats loud

Thoughts only for comfort
To stave off your fears
Imagine the stillness
That begs for your tears

Haunted by terrors
Of a more primative kind
The memory seeks solice
In an old nursery rhyme

You struggle and lash out
To find nothing there
Only daylight releases
The grip of nightmares
