Darkness Poem by Samantha White

Darkness

Rating: 5.0

As I look at this world,
all I see is darkness.
My world has turned completely black
now all I know is depression.
Thoughts of suicide cross this Gothic’s mind
Sharp objects and knives seem to be the only escape
From this world that shows nothing but hate
Dark and mysterious are the shadows of the night
Where I walk alone
Unable to love, yet unable to hate
Lost and confused please save me
The scars on my wrist just go to show
That I have been pushed almost to the edge
I can’t take this anymore
I am all broken up inside
Can anyone hear my plea for help?
If there is any reason I should live, please tell me.
There may still be hope.
