Darkness Poem by Jaclyn Payne

Darkness

A dark vast emptiness,
It is scareful, all alone.
Wandering, don't know where you're stepping,
Your foot takes a step, don't know whether good or bad.

Vast emptiness, all alone, in the dark,
Don't know who or what is there,
Good or bad, who knows,
Certainly not you.

A step forward could lead somewhere,
On a journey to your destination,
Or to somewhere else.
It's a maze of crossways.

Crossways lead many paths,
Many places with many people,
Strange people, strangers.
People that aren't familiar.

You start walking, somewhere,
Somewhere in the dark,
Somewhere.
Somewhere.

This poem, although dark makes me feel as though someone knows what I'm going through to ask extent like whatever step i take I don't know if it's good or bad. I feel lost, alone, and cold. There's someone I love whom was torn from my arms about three years ago. Ever since she was gone so was a part of me. She lives quite a distance away and finding her again is the hardest thing I've ever done. I visited her a few weeks ago and we were only able to look in each other's eyes for about a second.

That's so sad. But yeah, this poem was about losing somebody to due an incident and you can't live without them and they were kinds like your guide and you don't know what to do without them.
