Future Poem by Jaclyn Payne

Future

Down the path of life in which we walk,
What you do today determines your future,
The choices you make, the roads you take,
All become the road of life, your life.

Henceforth, we must make the right choices,
To get to be our dreams,
Onward and upward to the goal we yearn,
What our Founding Fathers have created was their future,
Now it's our turn.

Some would be a famous athlete,
Others dream of being a star,
They will choose their destiny,
I will choose my own. An artist, a famous writer,
Is who I want to be, nobody can't tell me any different.
Because they can't choose my destiny.

I admire your determination. Indeed on some level we do write our own story. As you've read, I've written my own. I know it's not an easy path but it's the one I've chosen and that's alright by me. Have faith you'll make the right choices for either way GOD will put you where you belong. HIS gift of joy is always worth the wait. Be patient. It will come. That much I know.
