Darling Deceiver Poem by roshini samuel

Darling Deceiver

Rating: 5.0

Ensconced in your guarded bastion.
playing to good to be true.
Darling deceiver i've seen more,
and that speck of yellow hue in you

your lies comforts your lair.
your damsels all smitten too.
oh darling deceiver,
like glass, i look through you

Have you lost count of all your lasses,
on your fingers and toes too?
Run out of calls and numbers
and philandering fibs too?

you cringe and shiver
when love percolates through
Does it torch and singe,
all the psychedellic prurient in you?

you thwart and brawl about
like a petulant child.
you think a phalanx of reason
could put up a good fight?

Darling deceiver,
you can snap, punch and push me down.
you can't fool me now or evermore.
My talons cut, and run
through your blood.
and you can hurt me no longer.
