Daughter Poem by Georgina Ashton

Daughter

Two’s Company, Three’s A Crowd.
I Look At My Princess Feeling So Proud.
The Way She Is Growing, The Way That She Is.
It’s Like Shaking A Bottle, And Watching It Fizz.
Bursting With Excitement, Full Up With Joy.
My Little Girl, With Her Little Toy.
Playing And Dancing, Prancing Around.
She’s As Good As Gold, When She Makes No Sound.
Watching Her Grow, Makes My Heart Feel So Warm.
Staring At Her, Dusk Until Dawn.
Sun Rising High, Like No Other.
Her Asking Me, ‘I Want A Baby Brother’.
Her Beauty Is Like A Rose And A Thorn.
That Special Day, When My Daughter Was Born.
