Dead And Gone Poem by martha ikiring

Dead And Gone

Looking outside my window
Everything is faded black and white
Nothing seems to make sense
Even my life seems meaningless
The wind blows lazily about

The motion of the trees causing dizziness
Only one thing seems to be stuck
In the most secret corner of my mind
And the deepest part of my heart
And that is the memory of your face

The memory of our love
Haunting me like a restless spirit
Making me want to look for you
And then I hear your careless whispers
Echoing in the wind

And then I see you standing in front of me
And my heart skips a beat
But only to realize you are an illusion
And my heart breaks
Because I want you, I love you
And I need you more
But it will always be a dream
