Dead Concern Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Dead Concern

"Can you not forgive?
I asked him sincerely to give
You are elder to me
And like a giant tree

I felt so thrilled
He smiled
The incidence took in childhood
I had fully understood

What the boy may have in heart?
This was raging in mind from the start
I was angry and so had slapped you
You were naughty but obediently true

"it was making me restless"
I confessed on face
He was really startled
I looked at him and smiled

He was so happy
I could see in his eyes
I too was relieved of dead concern
Now it was my turn
