Dear Poetry

I flew from the barren land
I flew like a free bird
I flew restless in the kingdom of freedom
The search knew no bounds.
The search was there, the search was pure
The search for meanings and the sky did allure,
Take me home, take me where I belong
O'breeze, I can hear stories in your gentle song
I am a thirsty soul
My story is not yet told...
Let me grow in you, my love,
Dear poetry, love me also as I unfold.

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

A little while a little love
The hour yet bears for thee and me
Who have not drawn the veil to see
If still our heaven be lit above.
Thou merely, at the day's last sigh,
