Dear Stepfather, Poem by Miranda Love

Dear Stepfather,

You died on me,
so many things you promised
so many things you won't be able to see
from me that you promised you'd be their for,
but I'll make you proud because of what we
promised each other. I really and truly
hope I make you proud of me.
