Death Poem by john tiong chunghoo

Death

death when it is a thief
runs away with our hearts
throw hope in a freezer
we are left in a vacuum of time
in a second that would take
a whole lifetime to fill
worms wriggle away every bit
of the dreams we have had
they leave no scrap behind
our pain is laid bare like skeletons
