Death Is Joy Poem by Victor Okechukwu Anyaegbuna

Death Is Joy

Mortal death is not a punishment
But an immutable Law of the Almighty.
Trees die, lizards die, Chickens die,
Goats and dogs die, even lions and elephants,
No creature is immune.

Long life, devoid of purpose, is a farce
In human enfeebled thinking;
Except needed to fulfil the earthly mission.
Death is a necessity that God made
In His infinite wisdom, to let man live again;
Be born again into a new life
Of service and understanding
For eternal salvation.

The fear of death is folly;
The fraudulent and ignorant stand out to amend
God’s decrees as if it were human law;
With God nothing is impossible
Except to change His Natural and eternal laws.

The laws of the Creator do not discriminate.
Live your appointed time, long or short, with mission
And dare not terminate the mission of another;
For such rules the world of blasphemy.
And the death of the Soul spells eternal calamity
In the infinite realm.
