Deep And From The Bowels Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Deep And From The Bowels

Deep and from the bowels,
Of thoughts they've been taught...
Others want to take away,
Their stolen bling.
And the meaning of a life,
To worship things.

Deep and from the bowels,
To be born with beliefs...
Their 'god' should be symbolized.
As an image to be idolized.
Materialized to realize,
Themselves descendents.

They want to rise,
Above diversity that God has shown.
And they want to rise,
Above diversity God condones.

Deep and from the bowels.
They've been taught to defeat,
Peace.
To keep.
Deep and from the bowels.
They have missed,
A conception.
Or their connection,
To humanity.

They want rise,
Above diversity that God has shown.
And,
They want it left in their eyes,
Only their reflection,
Known to condone.

And deep from the bowels,
They will be returned to their evils.
Isolated as wished.
Isolated as wished.
Isolated as wished.
Isolated as wished.
