you take me so much deeper
than anyone ever did before
you've given me every unheard song
opened every closed door

with him I was floating silently
I was just dipping my feet
but with you I plunge into deep water
you are the only one I will keep

the words you say stay with me
I hear them as I go to sleep
your heart always seems to hold me
when I feel worthless and weak

with him I had to hide myself
my feelings were a shallow drip
with you I'm a waterfall into deep water
I take your hand and tighten my grip

I'm sorry I have nothing to give you
but this dream of what we could be
I love the look of deep water
I wish you would dive in with me.
