Defiance Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Defiance

A spoiled child,
Will purposely test...
Authority and set limits.
And a child paid to go away.
With a promise to obey.
Is that spoiled child,
Who becomes an adult.
Knowing if to be destructive,
An attention will get them...
The results they seek.
To leave not to be forgotten.
But their presence left,
To be remembered.
In ways that displays defiance!
Against rules, laws and expectations.
