You say you miss me
But I can't tell if you're lying
Because I keep denying
How someone could love me
I could just be a place holder
Just occupying
Your time
I'm trying
To believe you
Or is it just gratifying
To say you have someone to hold
I hope you're not lying
I hope you continue smiling
About the idea of me arriving
Or seeing a notification of me typing
But we keep denying
The fact that this is just bad timing
And maybe there isn't a point in trying
What I'm trying to imply
Is maybe it's better if we just say goodbye
